HYSTORICAL BACKGROUND
The 500 L was born in 1968 as the "Luxury" version of the already known 500 F, the differences with that model are not only aesthetic but also substantial.
The main and most recognizable is the hercules, a sort of reinforced bumper in tubular steel elements that integrates the front, designed to reduce damage to the body during parking.
The wheel covers are also replaced and radial tires are offered as standard, instead of cross-ply, polished metal profiles are added around the windscreen and windows seals, the gutters are covered in shiny metal, the front grille with the Fiat brand is with a new rhomboidal design, the front plate is screwed to the bumper instead of the grille, the wording "New 500" of the rear bonnet (now meaningless considering the age and the presence on the market of the model) is changed to "Fiat 500 L ".
In a similar way to what Autobianchi has already done with the Bianchina, a luxurious reinterpretation of the 500, the interiors are more refined, the floor is covered in carpet and the plank in black plastic, with a dashboard is completely new with an elongated rectangular shape (similar to the Fiat 850), the tachometer is now long and narrow, with the addition of a fuel gauge, the steering wheel has two perforated metal spokes, changes the shape of the horn, the seats have the coating in imitation leather, two side pockets are added to the doors, behind the gear lever a small compartment is integrated into the tunnel as a further storage, the gear knob is anatomically redesigned.
New body colors are also introduced: black, ocher yellow and coral red.
