HYSTORICAL BACKGROUND
The Ford Mustang is a sports car produced by the US automaker Ford since 1964.
It is one of the best-selling products in the global automotive industry, imitated by many manufacturers and still in production. Its original structure derived from the Ford Falcon.
Strongly desired by the manager of the company in that time Lee Iacocca, could be considered a small muscle car and the very first pony car.
The presentation of the Mustang coincided perfectly with the first wave of the "Baby Boomers" generation, those young people born immediately after the end of the Second World War. These young people looked at the world of work in a context of a strong economy, and Mustang offered them a young and sophisticated car.
The car was presented at the New York Fair on April 17, 1964. Two days later, April 19, was presented simultaneously on the three American television stations. The response of the public was huge and immediate and an earthquake occurred in all the Ford dealerships in the country, so that in the first day of sale were collected orders for over 20 thousand copies.
Now in its sixth series, it still maintains a strong character and an impact similar to the first versions.
